2023 Memorial Day Commemorations

On May 25th the Post presented a Memorial Day Commemoration at Tudor Oak Senior Living Community in Muskego.  The attendance in the audience was light but it was being televised through their in-house system to any resident that wanted to watch.

On May 26th the Post presented two Memorial Day Commemorations.  One was at Regency Muskego Senior Apartments.  There were an estimated 50 residents present for that one.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

We would like to invite all Veterans and their loved ones to a presentation on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The presentation will be on May 4th at 7:00 PM at the Muskego Moose Lodge # 1057. Their address is S86W21693 Janesville Rd. Muskego. The presentation will be made by Jeff Whittle MD, a doctor at the Zablocki VA in Milwaukee. Below is a letter we received from him.

 

March 25 is National Medal of Honor Day

In recognition, we look to our Nation’s Medal of Honor history, which began during the Civil War period.  To date, more the 3,500 U.S. service members have been awarded our country’s highest military distinction for valor.  Of those 3,500, 268 are from the Vietnam War and 48 remain alive today.

 As we celebrate the holidays, we salute the service and valor of our Nation’s men and women who sacrificed so much to preserve our liberty generation by generation. We are also grateful for the Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Guardians and Coast Guardsmen deployed around the world, who work so diligently to protect the freedoms we enjoy and treasure.
