In the March issue of "The American Legion Magazine"   Major General James T. Jackson, U.S. Army (Retired) Director, The U.S.A. Vietnam War Commemoration, wrote  that the Vietnam War Commemoration is grateful to the American Legion posts and Auxiliary units across the nation that are commemorative partners with them, and continue to thank and honor our Vietnam War veterans and their families who so richly deserve recognition for their service and sacrifice during the war.  Most were not thanked when they returned from that conflict.  American Legion posts are doing the right thing by thanking them and welcoming them home.
