Now, during the Coronavirus pandemic, the most visible heroes are the health care professionals, who are saving others and risking their own lives while doing so.

In 2011, The American Legion began a new era of member engagement and outreach by introducing online renewals. More than 145,000 renewed their memberships online, and as estimated 180,000 online renewals are expected during the current membership year, which begins July 1.
